Being here you may already know that, so I won't go into much details. In short, drop ship wholesale means that you sell some company's products without to physically ship them. The producing company does the shipping directly for your customers.

All you need to do is to sell and process the orders. It's similar to the affiliate marketing, but you have a lot more freedom in defining prices and combining different products. Usually the profit margins in drop shipping are higher compared to affiliate profits for selling non-virtual goods.

Why Wholesale?

Drop Shipping is a huge opportunity, but if you want to profit even more and build a really big web store, you need to expand the product sourcing. Purchasing wholesale goods lets you sell with higher profit margins, combine products and sometimes even brand them.

The disadvantage of purchasing wholesale is that you'll need to physically store and ship the products yourself. Most e-commerce owners start first with drop ship based stores only and further expand in buying wholesale.
